As mentioned, Tagaytay is known to have a cooler climate as compared to its neighboring municipalities which is why people visiting the town won’t miss trying out the famous “Bulalo” (Beef Stew)  of Tagaytay. There are multiple restaurants offering Bulalo but the famous Leslie could be a great choice. With the nice view of the Taal Volcano and very accommodating food services, this would be a perfect choice while sipping out that hot soup.

Chicken Satay is also a “must try” food when visiting the city which is offered in Cafe Voi La in Crosswinds Tagaytay. Chicken satay is made mainly of chicken with spices such as turmeric, curry, and coconut milk which gives a flavorful taste to it. Leaving off Tagaytay would not be complete without bringing home fresh fruits such as pineapples as well as renowned delicacies like Buko Pie which can be bought in local markets and stores such as Colette’s Buko pie, Amira’s Buko Tart Haus, Cecilla’s Buko Pie and Pasalubong, and many more.

People’s Park in the Sky and Other Recreational Areas of the City of Tagaytay

Arguably the most famous destination in Tagaytay, The People’s Park in the Sky is a go-to place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view that it offers. The very main reason why people go to Tagaytay is to feel the pleasure to be free, to feel comfort, explore more adventures, and to gain more cherishable life experiences. Tagaytay also offers a pleasant family atmosphere and activities which is why it is famous for weekend travelers. In line with that, it is a must-try to visit Tagaytay Picnic Grove which offers recreational activities such as a relaxing picnic while enjoying the panoramic view of the beautiful Taal Volcano. A zipline and a horseback ride is also offered for families to enjoy. One of the most favorite recreational activities in Tagaytay also includes hiking.

A trek to Taal Volcano would be a great activity for weekend travelers and with just a 10-15 minute boat ride to cross the lake of Taal, visitors of the area would reach the Taal Volcano hiking point. Back with a more family-friendly recreational area, Sky Ranch is one of the most visited places in Tagaytay. This amusement park is great for people, bringing their families and friends since it offers different services such as exciting rides, a panoramic view of Taal, a chain of restaurants to choose from, and horseback riding. Not only that the park is called an amusement park, but it is also called an event center.

Anyone planning to organize social gatherings such as reunions, weddings, and corporate celebrations may rent the 2000 sqm. event area of the park.  In contrast, a great destination for all cycling enthusiasts out there is to try out the new Twin Lakes  Mountain Bike Trail. As the country’s first vineyard resort township community, a 2.5 km. long trail loop would be a great outdoor adventure for cyclists. This would be a great physical activity for people relieving their stress from the metro and just wanting to chill and enjoy the new cycling trail. Another famous destination is the Museo Orlina.

A great way to enjoy the perfect view of Taal Lake is to drop by Moseo Orlina. Not only that it can give its guests a panoramic view of Taal Lake but it could give people amazement from the art gallery displayed in the Museum. The museum is mainly divided into four parts which are the section for sculpture, a garden, an amphitheater, and the roof deck which displays the astonishing view of the Taal volcano. Tagaytay is not only known for its delicious cuisines, magnificent views, and beautiful recreational areas, it is also known for spiritual journeys for people who want to enhance their spiritual beliefs, reflect among themselves, and take care of their well-being. Tagaytay offers a wide variety of retreat houses which are good for company team building and retreats. Churches such as the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church is a church that tourists must not miss out on.
