Fun Recreational Activities You Can Do in Metro Manila

From ninja obstacle courses to archery arenas, you won’t even notice how much you’re sweating in these fun spots!

Looking to get more exercise in your routine? Well, you’re definitely not the only one! Plenty of us just can’t keep up with having a regular workout in our schedules and we can think of one reason why. We don’t need experts to tell us that any kind of exercise we don’t particularly enjoy will be hard to maintain in the long run. Even athletes who have gotten used to their workout routines will need some alternative exercise options to develop flexibility and avoid the overuse of muscles. And, having the same routine for months on end would surely make you lose interest so why not try new things every now and then.

There are many dance and yoga classes in the metro, near your condo in Taguig that provide exercise alternatives, but we’ve listed down here mostly outdoor destinations you can also try out with friends–or drag them to do with you if you’ve been struggling to get them out of the house.

Here are other recreational activities you can do in Metro Manila that would help you break a sweat.

1. Wall Climbing

Wall Climbing

For the thrill of conquering heights and upper body engagement, make your way to a wall-climbing gym like Power Up. Their Tandang Sora branch is one of the first-ever wall-climbing facilities built in the country, with two younger ones following shortly after in Cubao and BGC, just minutes away from your resort-inspired condo in Taguig, The Courtyard. Across all branches, a 300 peso walk-in fee plus small additional rental fees will get you well-maintained equipment and guided instruction from friendly staffers, some of which are the best climbers in the country.

Climb Central Manila is also a good option if you want to go to a place other than Power Up Climbing Gym. They are found in Mandaluyong and they offer a state-of-the-art facility with air conditioning.

2. Trampoline Park

There’s little wonder about the excitement over Jump Yard in Ortigas, where fitness meets fun. If you’re up for the adrenaline of launching yourself into the air near your condo in Taguig without the dangers of a wrong landing, sign up for their Olympic-sized trampolines and 1.5 meter-deep foam pits. Parkour enthusiasts and beginners can also try their hand at their Free Jump Area, which is sandwiched by the Slam Dunk area, the mini-Obstacle Course, and the Dodgeball Pit. You won’t run out of cardio activities here. And if you have kids, this is a perfect place for you and your family as there are a lot of activities to do that are safe for children as well.

Jump Yard Trampoline Park has entry fees and payment for special non-slip socks that are needed to be used inside. However, if you've been there before, you can reuse the socks that you bought previously and avoid the extra cost of buying a new one.

However, if you're looking for a trampoline park on the south side of Metro Manila then WiiJump Trampoline Park, found on the 2nd floor of Festival Supermall Expansion Wing in Muntinlupa, should be your choice.

3. Archery Range

Archery Range

Take a shot–or several at “Kodanda,” which is Hindu Sanskrit for “he who has a bow.” Whether in BF Homes or MOA, Kodanda’s archery ranges are built for both professionals and beginners who are trying to explore the sport of archery. Instructors will equip you with a standard bow and arrow for your size and length, teach you the proper stance and shooting etiquette, and then let you fire away for a good hour!

If you want something that is nearer to your condo in Taguig, then we recommend the Arrowland by Gandiva archery range inside Megamall itself. It's found on the 5th floor of the new Mega Fashion Hall just across from the ice skating rink. They can be also found on the 5th floor of Ayala Malls Manila Bay. Their Special solo rate costs P300 with which you can shoot 25 arrows with a target paper.

4. Rave Adventure Park

In Maybunga, Pasig lies one of the biggest adventure parks in the city. RAVE or Rainforest Adventure Experience Park is an 8-hectare getaway managed by City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), so you’re sure to be surrounded by flora and fauna as you move from one recreational activity to the next. You can try almost everything here: skating, playing tennis, wall climbing, rappelling, zip-lining, or taking the challenge of their obstacle course.

5. La Mesa Eco Park

We cannot stress enough the wonders going outdoors can do for your workout routine and overall health. Finding a good park-like La Mesa in Novaliches, Quezon City, saves you the time to find parking and money for gym equipment. Whether you’re out for a light jog or intense trail biking, you will reap the benefits of communing with nature at La Mesa’s mountainous terrains of trees, butterflies, and orchids. A minimal admission fee will also grant you access to their paintball field, boating lagoon, and rappelling stations.

The Courtyard - Condo in Taguig

If you want to experience these wonderful recreational activities in Metro Manila, then the Courtyard might be the place that would help you do so. Found in the backyard of a global city, this condominium community gives its residents the benefit of living in a progressive and urban environment along with resort-inspired amenities. This condo in Taguig is found along Pedro Cayetano Avenue just across Vista Mall Taguig. If you want an investment that will grow then investing in a pre-selling condo should be your choice.
