The South An Overview on Cavite and Laguna and its Communities

There is no doubt that more and more people are seeking to move away from the crowded and traffic-infested streets of Metro Manila to go to the open, refreshing spaces of the cities nearby. Why? Factors such as price, space, traffic, pollution, etc., all play a role in why people choose to do so. Metro Manila might offer the convenience and luxury of being at the center of work, business, and in general, everything, however with an expected 700,000 more people by 2025 (psa.gov.ph), the National Capital Region is getting crowded as time goes by. And especially during these trying times where space and social distancing is paramount, people are weighing their options and looking elsewhere.

The outskirts of Metro Manila such as the South is a viable option for people seeking to move away from the metro. The South gives you the best of both worlds: it is near Metro Manila’s central business districts but still located away from the congestion of Manila. It is teeming with open spaces, and alongside the increasing property developments and the strong infrastructure projects planned and being built, the value that the South can offer will only increase over time. But the million-dollar question is, where exactly in the South?

The South is home to numerous land developers – ranging from huge developers to small developers. Although there are a lot of good options to choose from, whether it may be a house and lot for sale in Cavite or a house and lot for sale in Laguna, it can be overwhelming and difficult to narrow your options due to the sheer number of properties found here. Also, the South is huge. In the narrowing down process, the city or province and the things they offer must also be considered. But worry not, Crown Asia has provided a quick overview of the South, what it offers, and the communities found within its vicinity.

Communities in the Provinces of Cavite and Laguna

Overview

First, here is a quick background on Cavite. The Province of Cavite is originally an agricultural town. But with time comes changes and now it is one of the most industrialized and fastest-growing provinces in the country. It is known as the bedroom community of Metro Manila mainly due to it being a place where urban dwellers settle overnight and go to work in Manila the next day. Another main reason is it is located right next to Metro Manila itself. Multiple expressways such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX), Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), and the planned C-6, connect this bustling province to the metro. Along with expressways such as the under-construction Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), the planned Cavite–Tagaytay–Batangas Expressway (CTBEx), and the proposed LRT extension projects, Cavite is well connected not only to Metro Manila but to the surrounding provinces as well.
